Onboard MongoDB Atlas to CloudHiro cost optimization platform
To fetch billing from MongoDB Atlas, CloudHiro needs your Organization ID and an API key with billing read access. Please read until the end before you start.
MongoDB Atlas onboarding
Step 1 — Get your Organization ID

In the Atlas UI, open Organization Settings.

Copy the value next to Organization ID — you will send this to CloudHiro at the end.
Step 2 — Create an API key

Open Access Manager → Add New → API Key.

Grant the API key the following permissions:
Organization Billing ViewerOrganization Read-only3
Give the key a meaningful description, e.g. Cloudhiro-API-Key.

Save the Public Key and Private Key. The private key is shown only once.
Step 3 — Send the credentials to CloudHiro
Send the following to your CloudHiro CSM to complete the connection:
- Organization ID
- Public key
- Private key
That's it!
